• Anne Kauppi (b. 1962) graduated from the Sibelius Academy with distinction and gave her debut concert in 1980. She then spent five years at the Juilliard School of Music in New York, completing a postgraduate diploma under Ania Dorfman and Adele Marcus. In 1991-92 she furthered her studies sponsored by the Géza Anda Foundation with Egil Harder. In 1998-99 she received teaching from Jerzy Gebert. She has been the soloist with many orchestras and has concerts regularly in Finland and several times in Germany and Sweden. She received third prize ex aequo in the national Maj Lind Piano Competition in Finland in 1979 and was selected at the 1991 international Géza Anda competition to play Anda's 70th memorial birthday concert in Zurich. Her disc of Chopin Preludes and Scherzos was released by Alba in autumn 1999 and the complete Chopin Etudes in 2008.
